REACH documents available in six languages
We're pleased to offer three REACH documents translated in six languages. The REACH Fact Sheet, REACH Community Action Framework and Hart's Ladder of Participation are available in PDF format in Hmong, Korean, Mien, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. REACH coalitions release 2007-2008 annual reports
The seven REACH coalitions now in the implementation phase of their Community Action grants recently released their 2007-2008 annual reports. These colorful documents highlight each coalition’s goals and accomplishments through the first year of implementing their youth action plans. Each coalition was responsible for creating its own unique report, including content and design. Coalition members now are distributing the documents to inform community members about their work and increase coalition membership and support.
REACH Camp curriculum now available!
Curriculum from the first "REACH US" Camp at Grizzly Creek Ranch, The Best Camp Ever in 2007 is available for download. The curriculum was created by the Youth Development Network, in collaboration with the UC Davis Center for Community School Partnerships. Designed with a user-friendly framework, the curriculum can be used as is to develop youth leadership camps, or can be adapted for youth leadership trainings, action planning sessions and school/community events. Capital-region organizations to receive $1.35 million for healthy development of youth
Sierra Health Foundation continues its commitment to the healthy development of youth in capital-region communities with grants awarded to the City of Vacaville and Sutter/Yuba Friday Night Live, serving the cities of Marysville and Yuba City. These Community Action Planning Grants were awarded through Sierra Health Foundation's REACH youth program. Download the news release below.

ORGANIZATION: Yolo Family Resource Center (YFRC)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Youth Engagement Leader works with the Woodland Coalition for Youth (WC4Y), a collaborative of youth and adults representing various youth-serving agencies in Woodland, to create social and educational supports and opportunities and effect communitywide systems change for Woodland youth.
Capital-Region Youth Projects Receive Program Improvement Grants
Sierra Health Foundation continues its grant making in support of the healthy development of youth with 11 recent REACH Program Improvement grants. Since 2006, Sierra Health has awarded 65 Program Improvement grants totaling more than $630,000. Download the news release below.

Program Improvement Grants to Fund 10 Capital-Region Youth Projects
Through projects including a youth soccer league in Woodland and anti-bullying campaigns in Placerville, youth and their adult allies will create positive opportunities for young people in their communities with Program Improvement grants, recently awarded by Sierra Health Foundation. Program Improvement grants available
REACH Program Improvement grants up to $10,000 are available for nonprofit organizations in the capital region to improve or expand programs for youth ages 10 to 15. Applications for the Spring 2008 funding cycle are due to Sierra Health Foundation by noon on May 15. Get information and application materials on the Program Improvement page of this Web site.
