Students from the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District will speak against proposed school budget cuts at the State Capitol, and donate their allowances and savings to Jack O'Connell, the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Students from other schools are invited to join the rally.

The West Sacramento Youth Resource Coalition will present a community event, Youth Fun Fair: Heroes Support the Heart of the Community, in West Sacramento's Bryte Park (Carrie Street and Todhunter Avenue). Organized by the coalition's youth group, the Sactown Heroes, the event will combine fun activities for youth and families with a resource fair showcasing leadership and personal growth opportunities for young people.

Join Sacramento Area Congregations Together and the Meadowview Partnership to hear the candidates' views on youth programs and services, job opportunities for youth, and improving high school graduation and college-going rates. The event will be held at the Luther Burbank High School auditorium, 3500 Florin Road in Sacramento.

Come watch live entertainment and stroll through the Art Gallery! Free admission, parking, food and refreshments!

It all takes place in Hiram Johnson High School's small theatre and auditorium, 6879 14th Avenue in Sacramento.
