Open Your Eyes: Teen Pregnancy
Teen Pregnancy touches the lives of many adolescents throughout the nation. In the past few years, the teen pregnancy rate in Yolo County has increased, especially in the Latino community. This video will make people aware of the “domino effect” teen pregnancy has in our communities. In this documentary we interviewed local professionals such as Jan Babb (Health Department), Artemio Pimentel (Vice Mayor), Father Uriel (Holy Rosary Parish) as well as parents, teens, and community members. Statistics and information were collected from various resources that support teen pregnancy prevention nationwide. We believe this video will “open the eyes” of professionals, parents. Teens and everyone concerned about the well being of young people.
